INTERMEDIATE CLASSES

All classes run for 4 x 2½ hour weekly sessions.

Fees: $160 RCS Members Only

Fees cover all firing, clay, glazes and materials required.

Prerequisites;

Beginners Coil and Slab Building with RCS,
or other previous experience or classes in Ceramics. (Please check with the coordinator before enrolling to make sure you are eligible.)
Participants are required to have their own basic tool kit.

Sculpture

Learn different techniques for creating small – medium sculptural pieces.

Includes glazing techniques using earthenware underglaze.

Intermediate Slab Building

Learn more advanced methods for creating individual pieces using slabs of clay. Includes glazing using earthenware underglazes and stoneware glazes.

Participants must have a good knowledge of maths including geometry and measurements.

Colour and Glazing Techniques

Learn different methods of using glazes and stains to colour your work.

Includes earthenware and stoneware techniques.
