This is an excellent course for the total beginner wanting to try their hand at throwing
on the potter’s wheel for the first time, and the maker with previous experience looking to refresh their skills.

The complete cycle of creating pottery on the potter’s wheel will be introduced to
you – centering, opening, pulling walls, creating form, trimming, and surface decoration.

You will start by learning to make functional pottery forms such as mugs, bowls and vases.

As you progress your skills you will discover the art of bringing clay into form is a highly satisfying and rewarding journey.

Our small class size of 5 ensures plenty of individual guidance.

After your pottery is bisque fired, you can enrol in a separate 3 hour glazing workshop and learn to decorate and glaze your work.

Fees include 5 x 3 hour weekly lessons, one10kg of stoneware clay, and bisque firing of your creations.

Refunds requested 14 or more days prior to the commencement date will incur a $25 administration fee.

No refunds will be granted less than 14 days prior to, or after the commencement date.
