WELCOME TO ROCKINGHAM CERAMICS STUDIO

Our studio is managed by Friends of Rockingham Arts Community Inc. (FoRAC), and run by a group of dedicated volunteers.

Our Programs run over 4 terms throughout the year to coincide with school terms.

FOR ALL NEW PARTICIPANTS

Rockingham Ceramics Studio has options for all skill levels and availability.

If you are a complete beginner – we recommend commencing with an 8 week Handbuilding Class. But if you are really keen to start with Wheel Throwing, that’s OK too.

If you would like to join one of our weekly Social Groups and work on your own projects, we do require you to have Handbuilding and Glazing experience, as well as knowledge of how to use our studio equipment.

If you have completed a Wheel Throwing Class, either with us or elsewhere, or have done ceramics more than 5 years ago, we recommend our 1 day Handbuilding in the Studio and 1/2 day Glazing in the Studio options.

If you have have been doing ceramics for a while, or have recently completed classes with us or elsewhere, and are confident that you are able to work on your own, our studio membership allows you to access our weekly Social Groups, Homebodies and Kiln Hire options.
